Summer Is Coming
Summer is just around the corner and will be here before we know it. It will be a time for family, barbeques, and celebrating our nations birth. The Saddlewood Meadows HOA hopes your summer is amazing and wants to give you a few fun quotes to kick it off!
- Some beach somewhere, there’s a big umbrella casting shade over an empty chair. Palm trees are growing, warm breezes blowing. I picture myself there, some beach somewhere. By Anonymous
- It’s a smile, it’s a kiss, it’s a sip of wine … it’s summertime! By Kenny Chesney
- Because it’s summer and the memories are just waiting to happen. By Anonymous
- Summer afternoon—summer afternoon; to me those have always been the two most beautiful words in the English language. By Henry James
HOA Non-Compliance Form Now Online
There is a new form to cover non-compliance registrations that was approved by the board. You can find the form at http://saddlewoodmeadows.org/non-compliance-submission/ Any submissions will require 2 members in order to be considered. The board will review all submissions and determine the best path forward. Please review the meeting minutes for the board meetings for more information as to why and how the form works.
Hamel Yard Sale
The yearly village wide yard-sale will be on Saturday, May 20th, 2017. This is large event for the town with a substantial amount of traffic that moves through Saddlewood Meadows. This means that you will experience a large number of resale pickers that will attempt to “beat the crowd”. In order to preserve organization and safety of the event, the village discourages this activity and asks that all participants refrain from pre-sales and wait to open sales until 8AM on the 20th. There will be fundraisers at the community center benefiting local groups. What better way to show your local support than by visiting those fundraisers. If you would like to register for the yard sale you can use the form provided by the village here: http://villageofhamel.com/NewsletMarch16rev.pdf
Rabies Clinic at Village Hall
Bethalto Animal Hospital will once again be offering Rabies and other vaccinations for your dogs and cats. This event is open to anyone in the area and takes place on Thursday, May 12th, 2017 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Village Hall. Vaccinations include: Rabies $18 for one year, $36 for three years, Distemper $33, Feline Distemper $33, Bordetella $17, Canine Flu Shot $17 and Feline Leukemia $26. New this year is Microchipping for $46.
HOA Member Meeting
Our annual member meeting will be held on May 30th, 2017 at 7:00PM. This meeting is a great opportunity to meet and greet neighbors you may not know that well and hear a little more about what is going on in Saddlewood Meadows. The Annual Election will be held at the start of the meeting to give an opportunity to any member that would like to become a part of the Board of Directors. If you are not able to attend the meeting, you can cast a vote online (limit one vote per lot owner). If you have any questions about the voting you can review the Voting Rules on the website or feel free to ask questions prior to the vote at the member meeting.
